Getting started
- Add materials and receive each delivery as a lot, with the supplier's lot number and expiry date. You can also import lots from a CSV.
- Create a recipe for each product: the materials and quantities that go into a batch.
- Record production. BatchTrail uses the soonest-expiring lots first, creates a batch number and adds the stock to Shopify.
- Ship as usual. Fulfilled orders are linked to their batches automatically.
- Trace or recall any supplier lot or batch from the Recalls page.
Common questions
Production says “Sync failed”
Shopify couldn't update stock, for example because the product doesn't track inventory. Fix the product in Shopify, then open the batch and click Retry sync.
An order wasn't linked to a batch
Orders are linked when they're fulfilled, and only for products that have a recipe and a batch in stock. Record production before shipping so there is a batch to link to.
I recorded a run by mistake
Open the batch and click Void run. This works until any of the batch has shipped.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Open the Plan page in the app. Changes take effect straight away and are billed through Shopify.
